Proposal for a new package
Instructions to person defining new package:
- This form should be filled out for new packages which are to be
added to the STAR Library. This is not a form for new modules: your
package may contain several modules, some of which you may not work on
until much later. You can add modules without any kind of formal
review, once your packages is approved. It is the package as such
which is reviewed by SOFI.
- Please do not remove the instructions for the author or referee
before submitting the filled-out proposal.
- A TLA means "three-letter acronym." Each package is identified
with a TLA which should be chosen based on STAR naming conventions.
These conventions can be superseded if a different acronym is proposed
that is more suitable. Don't forget to spell out what the acronym
stands for.
- It is suggested that you decide what public data tables are owned
by the package before you start working on it. Feel free to send your
proposals for new/modified tables to starsoft for input any time
before or during the review process. It is not expected that the
final implementation of your package tables will be exactly the same
as when you started, but some pre-design is useful for you and the
person who is reviewing this request.
- Send this proposal to one of the following people:
- ana : Lanny Ray
- sys : Doug Olson
- sim : Lanny Ray
- onl : Bill Love
