Note on Run02 offline polarization value

    Run-02 RHIC polarimeter data were always taken with so called
scaler mode, and in the offline analysis, the energy shift from
the si dead layer was re-estimated. A_N, which is used to normalize
the raw asymmetry was calculated from the E950 data for the certain 
-t range.

    As seen from the Run-02 document (Osamu's spin2002 proc.), the 
A_N was calculated as,

    BLUE  : A_N = 0.0127+/-0.0040   -t = 0.007-0.030
    YELLOW: A_N = 0.0133+/-0.0041   -t = 0.006-0.027

    From Run-04 calibration result, these A_N values can be revised.
Now we have A_N(t) for pC at 100GeV as a function form (best fit result),
and can be also seen as a numerical table.

Based on the weighted mean average over the elastic cross section, i.g.

    A_N(eff) = Sigma       A(t)_i*exp(-68t) / Sigma      exp(-68t)
               i=lower,upper               /  i=lower,upper

new values are obtained.
    RUN-02 A_N offline : BLUE 0.0110742 YELLOW: 0.0127327

Due to these changes, the polarization will be changed by,

ompared to the original number:
